    CPU Temperature Guide

  • Greater than 120° F - You should consider getting some better cooling.

  • 105° F to 115° F - Average working temperature with intensive applications running.

  • 95° F to 105° F - Average working temperature regular applications running.

  • Less than 95° F - You have a cool system.

  • Less than 32° F - Be carefull, frostbite is dangerous.

  • System Cooling Tips

  • Use thermal heatsink compound.
  • Put a heatsink/fan on your video card graphics chip.
  • Get bigger heatsinks/fans.
  • Reverse the Power Supply fan to suck air out of the case.
  • Add more case fans (ball bearing case fans are higher quality and quieter).
  • Take the case cover off (if you have no extra case cooling).
  • Cool the room temperature (i.e. turn up the Air Conditioner).
  • Use exotic cooling methods (water cooling, nitrogen, peltier).
  • Put HD cooling fans on your disk drives (especially 7200 RPM drives).
  • Blow on the heatsinks (just kidding!).
